A-11 Chinook CH-47

Designed in collaboration with CH-47 pilots, we've used our A-11 Tom Rice as a base for this limited edition. Each piece will feature its own serial number on the caseback - these will be attributed by order number (the earlier the order, the lower the number). The sale is limited strictly to CH-47 squadron members & will not be sold publicly by Praesidus Watch Co.

We'll be using an NH35 Seiko automatic movement & a double domed sapphire crystal. Sapphire is the most scratch resistant crystal there is currently in the industry - it will hold up through most wear & tear without a scratch for years to come. We're also including a screw-down crown & 10ATM water resistance.

All indexes & hands will be coated in Super Luminova for peak night-time performance & readability.

This collaboration includes both a Beads of Rice Bracelet & our standard leather strap. 

As a bit of backstory to the design, the original A-11 specification was developed by the US Military in 1942 with the objective of equipping soldiers with a rugged & legible field watch. The result was the A-11 specification; meant to bring the US military to a "modern" standard for the time. These watches saw combat throughout WW2 on the wrists of American & allied soldier before being replaced by the A-17 spec during the Korean War.
